Asleep At The Wheel
This zine began as a question borne out of realising how consistently this item of decor appeared in friends’ cars and the taxi cabs that I took around Singapore, in the course of a year. Once I started noticing a pattern, I started taking photos, and asking drivers why they chose this particular animal asleep at the wheel. This inquiry and its results were further developed into an essay discussion about the nature of rest and work in a big southeast asian city such as Singapore. It brings in reports and news about these topics from other countries such as Indonesia, Japan, China and South Korea to broaden the discussion.
Packaging: Plastic Pillow Bubble Case, with bookmark.
